IBAS learnt earlier today that one of the businesses registered with the service had unexpectedly withdrawn from the UK market. The news emerged on Monday morning, February 21 via a statement on its website:
“We would like to inform you that Novibet will not continue to operate in the UK from 21.02.2022.
“If you already have funds in your game account, please kindly withdraw them. For any questions or clarifications please contact our customer support team. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!”
The Gambling Commission, which regulates Novibet in the UK, has stated that it expects an orderly closure.
Novibet confirmed this saying it expects to continue cooperation with IBAS for open cases as well as any new ones which might emerge in the coming months. The company has said it would maintain Gambling Commission guidance around providing customers with access to an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) service.
This includes any outstanding cases with IBAS. Work on unresolved disputes continues and both customers and Novibet will be notified by email when decisions are reached by our Adjudication Panel.
